PHILADELPHIA - The Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics (DRIA) at the University of Pennsylvania is pleased to present the second video installment with an update of the George A. Weiss Pavilion. This video was shot Thursday, June 18 when the University hosted an official “groundbreaking” outside The Palestra.

The event featured University President Amy Gutmann, Director of Athletics Steve Bilsky, several of Penn’s varsity head coaches, and the University’s Trustees including Mr. Weiss and also Robert A. Fox, whose name will adorn the fitness center at the east end of the facility.

As Dan Dirscherl -- Senior Vice President/General Manager of Hunter Roberts Construction Group -- says in the video, the Weiss Pavilion is scheduled for opening in March 2010. That's just nine short months away!
