PHILADELPHIA - Coming off its 1-0 win at No. 20 Brown yesterday, the Penn men's soccer team saw two of its players honored Monday as freshman goalkeeper Garon Smith received Ivy League Rookie of the Week and junior Loukas Tasigianis shared Philadelphia Soccer Six Player of the Week honors with La Salle's Ryan Richter.

Tasigianis received his award for scoring the Quakers' goal in Sunday's win in Providence. It was his third goal this season, and moved Penn to 6-6-3 overall, 2-2-1 in the Ivy League. Smith was honored for his play in that match, as he came up with six saves -- three in each half -- to collect his second consecutive Ivy League clean sheet.

Penn is in action this Saturday, hosting Princeton at 7:30 p.m. as the second half of a men's/women's Penn-Princeton doubleheader at Rhodes Field.
