PHILADELPHIA -
After two days of work at the Penn Invitational, two Quakers are left standing to try to capture a tournament title. With a pair of wins on Saturday, both Vim De Alwis and Sylvester Wee have moved on to Sunday's finals, De Alwis in the Levy Flight and Wee in the Hamlin Flight. A third member of the men's tennis team, Blaine Willenborg, will face an opponent from Temple in the consolation final of the Quaker Flight.

The day was slightly easier for De Alwis than Wee. The freshman advanced in straight sets twice against opponents from Drexel and NJIT to make the final. Wee was forced to a super-tiebreaker in his quarterfinal match in the morning, advancing to the semifinals with a 10-7 win. There he handled Andres Estenssoro of Iowa, 6-3, 6-4. De Alwis will play Adam Lawton of Delaware in his final, while Wee faces Florian van Kann of Binghamton, who eliminated Rob Wong earlier on Saturday.

In doubles, one team remains for Penn. The duo of De Alwis and Ismael Lahlou eased past Dominic Patrick and Chase Tomlins of Iowa, 8-4, to make it to tomorrow morning's semifinals.
