CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - At the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta, the University of Pennsylvania men's lightweight rowing team placed ninth in the fours and 15th in the eights on Sunday.
At the 48th annual edition of the Head of the Charles, the Quakers were in two of the final races on the second day of competition. The fours took the water first and posted a top-10 finish. The Quakers finished in 18:24.91 to place ninth among the 16 boats. A short while later, the Quakers finished 15th in the eights. Harvard won the race and was about a minute ahead of Penn's time of 15:31.98.
Next up for the Quakers is the final Fall race weekend of 2012. Penn is in action on Saturday at the Head of the Schuylkill and on Sunday at the Princeton Chase.
