PHILADELPHIA - The Ivy League has announced its weekly honors in men's basketball, and University of Pennsylvania freshman center Darien Nelson-Henry was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week. This is the first honor for Nelson-Henry.
Nelson-Henry collected his first collegiate double-double in Penn's 54-53 win over NJIT on Thursday night, scoring 12 points and collecting 11 rebounds. He followed that up two days later by matching a season/career high with 17 points and was the only Penn player to score in double figures in the Quakers' Big 5 loss to Saint Joseph's.
Penn is in action Wednesday night at Temple, tipping off with the Owls at 7 p.m. at the Liacouras Center.
