PHILADELPHIA - Winners of three straight matches, the Penn men's tennis team (3-1) hosts Temple on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. from the Levy Tennis Pavilion. In 20 all-time meetings dating back to 1983, the Quakers have never lost to their cross-town rivals.

The Red and Blue posted a pair of wins last week, coming from behind to down Georgetown, 4-3, on Wednesday afternoon before a fairly routine 7-0 win over Stony Brook on Friday. Jeremy Court, Vim De Alwis, Ismael Lahlou and Blaine Willenborg all went 2-0 in their respective singles matches.

The top two positions in the singles lineup have gone 7-1 this season with Court, Nikola Kocovic and Willenborg splitting time there. Doubles has been a struggle for Penn however, and Head Coach David Geatz will look to improve that part of his team's game as they have won the opening point in just one of four matches this spring.

Temple brings a 2-3 mark into Wednesday, carrying a three-match losing streak. After season-opening wins over St. Francis (NY) and Richmond, the Owls have been knocked off their perch by Navy, Old Dominion and Drexel. Kacper Rams has played No. 1 singles for Temple in each match this spring, while Hicham Belkssir typically fills the No. 2 role.

Penn will have a week off from competition after Wednesday, but returns on Feb. 27 for another mid-afternoon home match, facing Navy at 3 p.m.
