PRINCETON, N.J. -
The Penn women's swimming team wrapped up this year's Ivy League Championships with a sixth-place finish, closing out ahead of Brown and Cornell. Shelby Fortin and Lauren Church were right in the middle of the action as the team broke three more school records on the night.

Saturday's finals began with the fastest heat of the 1650 Freestyle. Fortin set the Penn record in the event a year ago in the Ivy League Championships, and bested it this year by a full 17 seconds on her way to a second place finish, closing out in a NCAA 'B' cut time of 16:15.47. Sydney Stinner was fifth in 16:37.29.

The night continued with the 200 Backstroke, where Church set a new Penn record of 1:57.84 to win the 'B' final. Though the time was good enough for a fifth-place finish, she settled for ninth in the event. Megan Alexander won the 'C' final in 2:01.63 while placing 17th.

Christina Hurley was very near a record of her own, as her time of 50.69 in the 100 Freestyle fell three-tenths of a second short of Fortin's time in the event last year. The time put Hurley at 10th place in the 100 Free. Anne Maercklein was Penn's best in the 200 Breaststroke (2:20.99), finishing 21st, while Emma Siewert won the 'C' final of the 200 Butterfly in 2:01.98.

The Championships closed with the 400 Freestyle Relay  where the team of Fortin, Hurley, Church and Siewert put forward a fitting end, establishing a school record in the race, finishing seventh in 3:23.94.
