2013 Schedule

PHILADELPHIA - Penn will open another season of sprint football this September with its annual Alumni Game on Sept. 7, starting a new-look schedule for the Collegiate Sprint Football League.

The regular season commences on Sept. 13 in West Point as Penn takes on defending CSFL champion Army at 7 p.m.The Black Knights were undefeated last season, holding off Navy, 21-18, for the league crown.

Penn's first regular season game on Franklin Field will be Sept. 20 against Mansfield with a 7 p.m. start. Last season, the Quakers edged Mansfield, 16-13, in Philadelphia.

For the second year in a row, Penn will head to Ithaca for a Sept. 27 meeting with Cornell. Last year's trip to take on the Big Red produced one of the wildest and craziest games in Penn sprint football history -- a six-overtime, five-hour affair won by the Big Red, 42-34.

The second of two consecutive road games sees the Red and Blue head to Annapolis to face Navy on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. From there, the Quakers will play two of their final three games at the friendly confines of Franklin Field.

Franklin Pierce will make its first trip to University City on Oct. 11 for a 7 p.m. game. Last year, the first-ever game betwene the two schools saw Penn pull out a 24-20 win in the final seconds on a long touchdown pass to Whit Shaw.

The final road game of 2013 will send the Red and Blue to Waterbury, Conn. on Oct. 19 to play Post. The Quakers will be looking to avenge a 48-27 loss to Post.

Senior Day for the Quakers will once again be against archrival Princeton, the latest installment comning on Oct. 25 at Franklin Field.
