No. 24 Football Falls to No. 1 Villanova, 22-10, in Final Minutes

With five minutes remaining, No. 24 Penn led the No. 1 team in the nation. However, Villanova scored 13 points in the final 4:28 to top Penn, 22-10, Saturday night at Villanova Stadium.

Football Pushes Past Lafayette, 19-14, On Emotional Night

PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania women's soccer program continues to ride a solid preseason as the Quakers look ahead to this weekend's season-opening matches against Saint Peter's and Mount St. Mary's.

Senior captain Claire Walker met with the Penn Sports Network after the Labor Day Weekend to recount her views of the preseason to date, including the Quakers' solid performances in Friday's scrimmages at Princeton against the Tigers and another Ivy foe, Columbia.

Penn opens the season this weekend with Saint Peter's on Friday night at 7 p.m., followed by Mount St. Mary's Sunday at noon. Both matches have been moved to Penn Park from Rhodes Field.
