PHILADELPHIA - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced its All-Region teams in women's soccer for the 2013 season, and Penn was represented by a pair of sophomores on the All-Mid Atlantic squads as defender Caroline Dwyer was a first-team selection and goalkeeper Kalijah Terilli was a third-team pick.

This marks the third time in the last four years that Penn has had at least two women earn All-Region; the Quakers had three second-teamers in 2011, and a second-team and third-team selection in 2010.

Dwyer is just the second player in the program's history to earn first-team all-region, joining Katy Cross (2001). Dwyer also was the inaugural Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year this season, as well as a first-team All-Ivy pick.

Terilli, meanwhile, also was a first-team All-Ivy selection after ending the season among the national leaders in goals-against average and save percentage.

As a team, Penn finished 12-1-4 this year, setting a program record for fewest losses in a season. The Quakers shut out 12 of their 17 opponents, one shy of the program mark, and allowed just seven goals which also was one shy of a program record. In Ivy play, Penn went 5-1-1 and finished in second place behind Harvard. (Coincidentally, the Crimson were the only Ivy team with more All-Region players than Penn.) All of Penn's credentials were not quite enough to get them a bid into the NCAA Championship field.
