PHILADELPHIA – Without dropping a game, the third-ranked University of Pennsylvania women’s squash team defeated neighboring Drexel 9-0 Wednesday evening.

Penn (5-2, 1-1 Ivy), playing at home for the first time in the New Year, had few problems in dispatching the Dragons. The Quakers saw all nine players on the ladder win without dropping a game.

The victory for Penn is the second over Drexel (5-7) in the series between neighboring schools. The Dragons have only been competing at the varsity level in squash since 2011-12.

The Quakers now have a week to prepare for a rare weeknight league match against Ivy opponent Princeton. Penn will take on the fourth-ranked Tigers on Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. in Ringe Courts.
