PHILADELPHIA - Just one last tune up remains before the start of the outdoor postseason for the University of Pennsylvania track and field teams. The Quakers will spend the final weekend of the regular season at Princeton's Elite Meet on Friday and Saturday.

Many of Penn's top runners will take the weekend off to prepare for the Heptagonal Championships in New Haven, May 10-11. Others will use the meet to cap off their season or as a tune up for the postseason. The Elite Meet starts Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the men's hammer throw, while the track events start with the distance classic at 7 p.m. Saturday's events begin with the men's javelin and women's shot put at 11 a.m., while track starts at 1 p.m. with the 4x100-meter relays. The meet is set to conclude with the 4x400-meter relays starting at 3:30 p.m.

The Quakers are coming off a historic weekend at the Penn Relays. For the first time since 1922, the Penn boasted three individual Penn Relays titles. In addition, the Penn men are now ranked just outside the nation's Top 25 at No. 27 after stellar performances from Thomas Awad, Maalik Reynolds and Sam Mattis

In front of a home crowd of over 100,000 fans at the 120th edition of the Penn Relays, Awad (mile), Reynolds (high jump), and Noel Jancewicz (heptathlon) each stood atop the podium for the Red and Blue. Jancewicz won with the third-best score in school history (5,035) in her first multi's event, Reynolds became the first Quaker to win multiple high jump titles at the Penn Relays in 107 years, and Awad became just the second Quaker in school history to break four minutes in the mile. A full recap of Penn's performances at the Penn Relays is here.

A full recap will be available at PennAthletics.com shortly after the conclusion of the meet.
