PHILADELPHIA - Senior Maalik Reynolds and sophomore Sam Mattis were each officially named first-team All-Americans by the U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday afternoon. Sophomore Kelsey Hay earned honorable mention accolades.

Reynolds is now a six-time first-team All-American, including all four outdoor seasons. He finished seventh in the high jump at the NCAA Championships on Friday with a clearance of 2.15 meters (7-00.50 ft.).  Shortly after Reynolds' All-America performance, Mattis finished fifth in the discus with a toss of 60.33 meters (197-11 ft.).

Hay earned honorable mention honors and is the first Penn woman to do so since Leslie Kovach was an honorable mention honoree in 2011. She finished 18th at the finals of the NCAA Championships in the women's javelin on Wednesday. Her best toss landed at 47.28 meters (155-01 ft.).

First-Team All-America honors were awarded to those who finished among the top eight in an individual or relay event as part of a team; Second-Team All-America honors went to those who finished between ninth and 16th; and Honorable Mention honors were given to the remaining finishers.

Next up for the Quakers is a trip to England as Penn continues one of track and field's most unique traditions. The Transatlantic Series dates back more than half a century and teams Ivy rivals Penn and Cornell against the storied English universities of Oxford and Cambridge. A bienniel tradition, the school's alternate as hosts with the meet being held at Cambridge this year. The Quakers will also compete at England's U-20 and U-23 Championships and spend time touring the country. In all, the Penn track and field teams will be overseas from June 16-July 1.
