PHILADELPHIA - The third week of August means the return of the University of Pennsylvania's football team as the Quakers arrived back in University City on Monday for the first official day of camp.
After checking in at the football offices early in the morning, the squad met with the many members of the support staff which helps prepare the Red and Blue for game day. Included in the presentation were members of the Sports Performance (athletic training and strength & conditioning), compliance, academics and equipment staffs.
In addition to the support staff meetings, the first official team meeting of the year began with a visit from first-year Director of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics, Grace Calhoun.
Following physicals and the first official team lift of the season for the upperclassmen, a second team meeting was held to prepare the squad for its first practice on Tuesday.
Tuesday's first practice was a whirlwind of activity as the squad utilized both fields at Penn Park in the shadows of Philadelphi'a skyline.
