LEWISBURG, Pa. - The University of Pennsylvania field hockey team fell lost at Bucknell on Sunday, 2-1, dropping the Quakers to 2-1 on the young season. The Bison improved to 3-3 with the victory.

Elise Tilton scored Penn's goal early in the second half, converting a high shot from about 12 yards out. Elizabeth Hitti was credited with an assist on the play.

Bucknell opened the scoring in the game's ninth minute when Abby Watson tallied her first of the year. After Tilton's goal tied things up, the Bison took the lead for good in the 53rd minute when Leigh Hillman scored on a backdoor tip from a penalty corner.

Carly Sokach had a monster game in goal for Penn, making 11 saves to keep the Quakers in striking distance.

Penn is home for its next three games, as the Quakers christen the new Ellen Vagelos Astroturf Field with its first home contests. The first one comes next Saturday at noon, when Penn hosts Cornell in the Ivy League opener for both teams. The next day, also at noon, the Quakers entertain Pacific. Finally, on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Penn hosts city foe La Salle at 4 p.m.
