HARTFORD, Conn. – For the second consecutive Saturday, the third-ranked University of Pennsylvania women’s squash team was on the road, and facing a top-ranked opponent. For the Quakers, the results were not what they were hoping for, dropping a 6-3 decision to second-ranked Trinity College Saturday afternoon.

After being defeated by the same score last Saturday at No. 1 Harvard, Penn (4-2, 1-1 Ivy) was looking to turn its fortunes, but were unable to do so against the Bantams (6-0).

Freshman Anaka Alankamony won her match in the top position on the ladder 3-1, while Michelle Wong and Chloe Blacker continue their individual unbeaten streaks winning 3-2 and 3-1 respectively, but the Quakers lost four individual matches by the score 3-1.

Camille Lanier was able to force a fifth game in her individual match, but fell 11-9 in the final game, resulting in a 3-2 defeat.

Penn will have the opportunity to move forward from back-to-back defeats, hosting inter-city foe Drexel on Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. in Ringe Courts.
