PHILADELPHIA - The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has announced its All-Region teams for the 2010 season, and Penn freshman Colin St. Maxens is among the honorees on the 25-player Northeast team.
St. Maxens, who was also named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year this season, finished the 2009-10 campaign with a 74.3 stroke average over 19 tournament rounds. He was Penn's low scorer at three of the seven tournaments in which he played, and also went 1-0-1 playing the top spot during October's Ivy Match Play Championship in Massachusetts. St. Maxens had five top-10 overall finishes, and also shot Penn's low round of 2009-10 when he blistered the Philadelphia Cricket Club course with a 65 during the Big 5 Championships in October.
St. Maxens was one of eight Ivy League players named to the Northeast team. Overall, a total of 153 golfers across six regions were honored for 2010.
