PHILADELPHIA - Catcher Will Davis has gotten off to a good start in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League where he is honing his game this summer, earning co-Player of the Week honors for the Alexandria Aces.

The catcher from Atlanta, Ga. went 14-29 (.483) over his squad's first eight games of the season. Five of those hits went for extra bases, including three doubles, a triple and a homer. Davis crossed the plate six times and drove in seven runs of his own. His seven RBI led the league for the first week of the season. Of his eight games played, Davis has four multi-hit games - including a three-hit performance on June 7 and a four-hit affair on June 11. Currently, Davis is in the midst of a three-game hit streak, going 8-for-13 with a pair of doubles over that stretch.

Penn had another rising senior on the weekly honor roll in the Ripken League. Outfielder Jeremy Maas, playing for the Herndon Braves, is 12-for-35 with 10 runs scored so far this summer.
