PHILADELPHIA - In the year's final home meet, Penn was able to dispatch Dartmouth by a score of 167.5-131.5. However, Yale was victorious over both teams, downing the Quakers, 176-121.

Senior Melissa Parratto left her mark on her final home meet, winning both the 200 Butterfly (2:06.30) and the 400 IM (4:33.58). Freshman Emma Siewert was right behind her in the 200 Fly, finishing second in 2:06.93.

Penn's other big winner on the day was Shelby Fortin. The junior showed her range with victories in the 200 Freestyle (1:50.52) and 200 Backstroke (2:02.34), finishing at least 1.5 seconds ahead of second place in each.

Matched up with one of the top short distance backstrokers in the Ivy League, freshman Lauren Church held her own with a second-place finish in the 100 Backstroke, touching the wall in 56.86. That time would have been good for a new Sheerr Pool record, if not for the winning time posted by Yale's Alex Forrester, who came in at 56.07.

That wasn't Forrester's only pool record on the day. In the 100 Butterfly, the Yale senior put forward a 54.24 to break a record set nearly a decade ago. That number eclipsed a fine swim from sophomore Taylor Sneed, who settled for a second place finish in 57.79.

Other top finishers for the Quakers included Tina Hurley, who tied for third place in the 50 Freestyle (24.34), and Dayae Choi, who came in third in the 100 Freestyle (52.20). Zoe Gan also added a third place finish with a time of 2:27.59 in the 200 Breaststroke.

The Quakers will return to the blocks next week, traveling to Providence and facing Brown and Harvard in an Ivy League tri-meet. The start time is set for 12 p.m. on Jan. 19.
