Meet Information

PHILADELPHIA - Friday night will mark a return to one of track and field's most historic facilities for the University of Pennsylvania men's track and field team. The Quakers will compete at College Night at the Armory with 15 other teams, including three other Ivy schools.

The meet is slated to get underway at 7 p.m., with the 60 meters. The long jump will begin at the same time to kick start the field events. Friday night's meet is then set to conclude at 10:30 p.m., with the 4x400-meter relay.

Penn was at the Armory in New York City two weeks ago and finished second as a team among 14 schools. Behind a victory from Tom Timmins, a trio of Quakers qualified for the IC4A Championships in the 500 meters. The Quakers also won the 4x400 relay, qualified three others in the mile and claimed the top two spots in the shot put.

Last week, Penn won its meet at Lehigh. Freshman Thomas Pitt won the high jump and long jump, while senior Allante Keels, freshman Clark Shurtleff and sophomore Conner Ryan also posted victories for the Quakers.

In total, the Quakers have qualified eight individuals for the IC4A championships as well as the 4x400 relay team. Three Quakers apiece hit qualifying times in the mile and 500 meters, while Maalik Reynolds (high jump) and Jake Brenza (shot put) have also already reached the required marks.

A full recap will be available at PennAthletics.com shortly after the conclusion of the meet.
