PHILADELPHIA – W. Joseph Blood Head Coach of Baseball John Yurkow announced Penn's schedule for the 2014 season on Thursday. The early non-conference portion of the season features trips to Dallas, Texas and Annapolis, Md., while the Ivy League portion kicks off at the end of March.

The season begins on Feb. 28 when the Quakers travel to Dallas for four games with Dallas Baptist. The road trip continues when the Red and Blue return to the east coast March 7-9 for four games in Annapolis. Penn will play one game a day, alternating between Monmouth and the host Navy.

The Quakers will continue their road swing with games close to home in Dover, Del. against Delaware State on March 11 and 12. Following that, Penn will head south for the weekend once again with Richmond, Va. as the destination. There they will face Richmond for three contests March 14-16. The Red and Blue finish off the long road trip with the Big 5 contest at Villanova on March 19.

Penn will make its home debut at Meiklejohn Stadium on March 22 when Lafayette comes to Philadelphia for a doubleheader. The Quakers will then head to Easton, Pa. for a road doubleheader against the Leopards the following day. On March 26, Penn and Lafayette will meet once more in the opening round of the Liberty Bell Classic at Meiklejohn.

The final weekend of March will see the Red and Blue make their 2014 Ivy League debut when Yale and Brown come to University City for back-to-back doubleheaders on March 29 and 30.

April 1 will see Penn take part in a second round Liberty Bell Classic game against a squad that will be determined by the first round results.

The Quakers then head north for their Ivy road opener in a doubleheader at Harvard on April 5. They travel to Hanover, N.H. the following day for a doubleheader at Dartmouth. After the back-to-back Ivy weekend, Penn will return home for another Big 5 matchup on April 9, this time against La Salle.

Cornell is next on the docket for Yurkow’s squad as the Big Red come to Philadelphia for back-to-back Ivy doubleheaders on April 12 and 13. The homestand then finishes up against neighbor University of the Sciences on April 15.

In the penultimate weekend of regular season competition, the Quakers will head to Princeton, N.J. for two road League doubleheaders on April 19 and 20. The regular season will finish up with the annual home-and-home doubleheaders, first at home against Columbia on April 25, then on the road against the Lions in New York, N.Y. on April 26.
