PHILADELPHIA - With a pair of wins last week to get back in the win column in a big way, Penn recevied many stellar performances. Two players who went a long way to securing a pair of wins were honored by the Philadelphia Soccer Six this week for the efforts.

Jonny Dolezal was named Co-Player of the Week by the PS6, while rookie Sam Hayward was named Rookie of the Week.

Dolezal was clutch for the Quakers in their Ivy League opener, scoring the game-winning goal in the 81' as the Red and Blue knocked off defending Ivy League champion Cornell, 1-0. Dolezal's boot off the left post was his first career game-winning goal, and ensured that the Quakers would not need to wait until the final game of the Ivy season for a League win as they did in 2012. After the goal, Dolezal was instrumental in holding off the Big Red, positioning the defense to maintain Penn's first Ivy League shutout since 2010.

On Wednesday, Sam Hayward scored twice as the Quakers snapped a six-match losing streak with a 3-2 win over University City neighbor Drexel. Both of his goals came in the second half, each giving the Quakers a two-goal lead. Hayward sits atop the Ivy League's rookie scoring chart with four goals this season.

The Quakers look to stay atop the Ivy table Saturday with a trip to Columbia to take on the Lions at 7 p.m.
