Ivy League Basketball TV Package release

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men’s basketball team will have seven games televised this season, including four on NBC Sports Network (three of them part of the Ivy League’s package with NBC Sports Network).

The Quakers will play a trio of Ivy League games on the NBC Sports Network, starting with their Ancient Eight opener against Princeton on Saturday, Jan. 11 at The Palestra at 6 p.m. The first game pitting the teams picked 1-2 in the Ivy League’s Preseason Media Poll will be on national TV on Saturday, Feb. 1, when Penn is at Harvard in a game that will tip off at 9 p.m. The third comes on Friday, Feb. 28 when Penn hosts Brown; that game will start at 7:30 p.m.

Penn’s fourth game on the NBC Sports Network will be Thursday, Jan. 2 when the Quakers are at George Mason for a 7:30 tipoff.

Penn’s first televised game of the 2013-14 season will be Friday, Nov. 22 when the Quakers are at Iowa; that game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. On Wednesday, Dec. 4, Penn is at Villanova in a Philadelphia Big 5 game that will tip off at 8 p.m. and air on the new home of Big East basketball, Fox Sports 1. Finally, Penn’s only game between Christmas and the New Year will be televised, as the Red and Blue make the trip to Rider and face the Broncs on the Comcast Network on Sunday, Dec. 29 at noon.

New this year, all non-televised Penn men’s basketball home games and Ivy League road games will be broadcast on the new Ivy League Digital Network (www.ivyleaguedigitalnetwork.com). The League-wide pass includes everything the network has to offer from live home and selected away games in HD across a variety of sports, as well as on-demand programming and additional premium content not available anywhere else.

Each of the conference's eight schools have their own individual channel, featuring live and on-demand video and audio content from home and away contests across a variety of sports. In addition, the Ivy League has its own League-wide channel featuring all available digital content across the conference.

Powered by NeuLion, the completely redesigned, nine-channel network includes an easy-to-navigate interface with a League-wide network schedule and new interactive touch points to showcase the expanded content offerings available on computer, mobile and tablet devices all without the use of an app.
