PHILADELPHIA - The weather outside has been positively frightful. However, thanks to the new Penn Golf Center, located in the basement of the TSE Center at Hutchinson Gymnasium, the Penn golf programs will be able to keep their games sharp as they prepare for the spring.
The Penn Golf Center houses an office for both golf coaches as well as 3,000 square feet of program space.
In one section of the center, a putting green can be used to work on putting stroke. There is also a fringe area that allows for players to work on their chipping.
In another part of the center are two Trackman Golf Simulators. Complete information on the capabilities of the Trackman Golf Simulator can be found here.
The Penn Golf Center was part of a 98,000-square-foot renovation of the existing Hutchinson Gymnasium that cost $27.2 million. The project is certified as LEED Gold.
Recently, Mike Mahoney joined the Penn Sports Network for a tour of the Golf Center with women's golf coach Mark Anderson, and he even got a few pointers to help with his game!
