NORMAL, Ill. – On a day that saw the University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team fall in a dual-meet at Illinois State, 193.325-191.450, the Quakers set a number of team and individual highs on Saturday afternoon.
Penn recorded its highest team score of the season, 191.450, having recorded a team score over 190 for the fourth straight meet.
On vault sophomore Emily Paterson led Penn scoring a 9.675, matching her season high. Carissa Lim recorded a 9.625 behind Paterson, with Amber Woo scoring a 9.600 to give Penn a team total of 48.00, the highest of the season thus far.
The Quakers started the day on bars led by Kelly Tan, with a 9.550, followed by Woo with a 9.525, her highest score on bars this season.
Penn’s beam also set a mark for being the best team score of the season, with a 48.225. The Quakers featured three scores over 9.700 or better, with Rachel Graham scoring 9.700, Tan a 9.725, and senior Diana Moock setting a new career-high with a 9.750.
On floor, the Quakers were led by Lim, the sophomore recorded a 9.675. Kaitlyn Reszkowski followed right behind Lim, with a 9.650.
After competing four straight weekends, the Red and Blue will have a weekend off before hosting Southern Connecticut State at home on March 15, in Rockwell Gym located inside Hutchinson Gymnasium.
