PHILADELPHIA - Entering his final season at the helm of the University of Pennsylvania football team, head coach Al Bagnoli announced the 27 newest Quakers that will make up his final recruiting class on Thursday afternoon. The Class of 2018 features a plethora of team captains, state champions and academic standouts.

A full breakdown of the Class of 2018, including individual bios and video highlights can be found below. Above is a full, interactive geographical breakdown of the incoming class.

"This is an impressive group on and off the field, and we are excited for what the future holds," said Bagnoli. "We always strive to address a number of areas and I think we added a lot of talent and depth with this class. Our staff has done another great job of adding tremendous character kids to our program, University and community."

In Bagnoli's 22nd recruiting class, 11 incoming freshmen will join the offense - five linemen, two wide receivers, two running backs, a quarterback, and tight end - and 14 will become a part of Ray Priore's defensive unit - six defensive linemen, four defensive backs and fourlinebackers. In addition, two specialists will be joining the Quakers. The 27 incoming freshmen hail from a total of 12 different states, led by six from distant California and four from neighboring New Jersey.

In 22 seasons, only two recruiting classes under Bagnoli - owner of more outright Ivy titles (nine) than any coach in history – left without at least one Ivy League championship ring. In contrast, 11 classes graduated with multiple Ivy title rings and two current classes will be searching for their second ring this season.

For the program that holds the NCAA record for games played, the Quakers will officially begin their 138th season with practice in late August and the first game on Sept. 20 at Jacksonville. The home opener is Sept. 27 against city rival Villanova. Game times as well as radio and television schedules will be announced later this summer.
