PHILADELPHIA - Three University of Pennsylvania men's soccer players were among the 20 Ivy Leaguers listed in TopDrawerSoccer.com's Top-20 Ivy League Player Rankings to start 2014. Reigning Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year Duke Lacroix sits atop the list, joined by No. 9 Louis Schott and No. 11 Alec Neumann.
Duke Lacroix is coming off a 2013 season where he earned second-team All-Region and unanimous first-team All-Ivy honors as the Quakers won the Ivy League championship. Lacroix was second in the Ancient Eight in both goals (eight) and points (19), leading the Red and Blue in both categories. Lacroix has earned All-Ivy honors each of his three seasons at Penn, with second-team honors in 2012 and an honorable mention selection in 2011 while he was Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
Louis Schott earned his first career All-Ivy award as a key cog in the Red and Blue’s middle-third play. He scored two goals and added three assists for a career-high seven points, connecting on a pair of game-winning goals.
Alec Neumann was a welcomed addition for the Quakers in 2013, ranking second on the team with 12 points on four goals and four assists. He was named second-team All-Ivy, the highest ranking for a Penn freshman since Stephen Baker earned second-team honors in 2010.
