Emily (Markis) Dorman joined the University of Pennsylvania's athletic training staff in August 2008. In addition to her sport duties at Penn, Dorman coordinates athletic training needs for the Penn Relays and is involved in all daily aspects of the athletic training office.
Prior to her arrival in University City, Dorman was a Fellowship Athletic Trainer for the United States Olympic Committee. While with the USOC, she worked with women's freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, men's and women's weightlifting, boxing, and short track speed skating. Also while with the USOC, Dorman was part of the medical team for the 2008 US short track speed skating national championships.
Dorman earned her master's degree in Kinesiology from Temple University in 2007, while working as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for The William Penn Charter School. She earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training from High Point University in 2005.
She married Charles Dorman in the summer of 2012.
