Turudic Upsets #1 Seed at ITA Northeast Regionals |

ITHACA, N.Y . - Ivan Turudic took down a pair of Ivy League rivals on Sunday to advance to the quarterfinals of the ITA Northeast Regionals, hosted by Cornell.
Beginning the day with a Third Round match against Cornell's Sam Fleck, Turudic strolled into the Round of 16 with a 6-3, 6-4 victory. There he faced the #1 overall seed in the tournament, Jonathan Pearlman of Harvard. In a three-set battle, Turudic was able to move on with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win. The Penn sophomore will now face another opponent from the home-standing Big Red, Venkat Iyer, on Monday. |
