ITHACA, N.Y. - Following Phil Law's act from a year ago, Ivan Turudic reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Northeast Regionals, but fell on Monday morning.
Facing Cornell's Venkat Iyer, Turudic had no trouble in the first set, easily taking the early lead with a 6-1 win. The gap between the two closed quickly from there and it was Iyer, playing in his home building, who won the final two sets, 6-4 and 7-6(2).
The Quakers conclude the fall season with the ITA Northeast Regionals and will be off until they begin the spring season on February 1 at Navy. Penn opens at home versus George Washington on February 4.
