PHILADELPHIA - Join the University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team at The Palestra on Saturday in the fight against breast cancer. Proceeds from the team's annual Play 4Kay game - formerly known as "Pink Zone" - will be donated to Penn's Rena Rowan Breast Center at the Abramson Cancer Center. Tip off is at 7 p.m.

Promotions include giveaways, free food for students and several raffle prizes.

Fans are encouraged to wear something pink to the game. The first 100 fans receive a free pink headband. Pink ribbons and pins will also be handed out to fans. Or buy a pink Penn Basketball t-shirt ($10) to support the fight against breast cancer. The Quakers will be wearing the same t-shirts during warm-ups.

Raffle tickets will be sold as well to give fans the opportunity to win season tickets, a basketball and t-shirt signed by the team, restaurant certificates, a one-night hotel stay and a number of different prizes.

In addition, there will be an "Ask The Expert" panel from the Rena Rowan Breast Center so fans can ask any questions they may have about breast cancer screenings, treatment and survivorship.

Finally, there will be free pizza for Penn students starting at 6:30 p.m. up until the start of the game.

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) started "Pink Zone" in a unified effort to assist in raising breast cancer awareness. The initiative, formerly known as "Think Pink," began in 2007 with more than 120 schools unified in its efforts. For 2012 and beyond, the WBCA Pink Zone has been rebranded as Play 4Kay.

The late Kay Yow, the Fund's namesake and former North Carolina State University head women's basketball coach, was a past president and founding member of the WBCA, and a galvanizing voice for the Association.Yow was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987, and passed away on January 24, 2009, after facing her third bout with the disease.
