Williamsburg, Va. - The Penn men's tennis team returned to its winning ways on Sunday morning against William & Mary, dropping only a single point in a 6-1 win over the Tribe. The Quakers - who have been on the road for the entire month of March thus far - improve to 8-4 on the year.

The Red and Blue claimed the doubles points for a fifth match in a row with wins at Nos. 1 and 2. Both Ivan Turudic and Nikola Kocovic at No. 1 and Jason Lin and Rob Wong at No. 2 had very little trouble, each winning by scores of 8-2. With the point decided, the team of Jeremy Court and Phil Law abandoned their match at No. 3.

William & Mary were able to take the first completed match in singles. At No. 3, Ben Guthrie defeated Kocovic in straight sets, 6-4 and 6-1 to momentarily tie the match at 1-1. That would be one of the few highlights of the morning for the Tribe, as Penn rattled off the next five points. Turudic and Law were the next to finish, each coasting to a first set victory before a tight, 6-4 decision in the second set. Ahead 3-1, Court clinched the match for Penn with a 6-4, 7-5 win for the decisive fourth point. Wong and Lin would add victories before it was all over.

The Quakers were last at home on February 25 at the Levy Tennis Pavilion against the Buffalo Bulls. Their next time out will be a historic occasion as they face the St. John's Red Storm for their first-ever competition at the Hamlin Tennis Center in Penn Park. That match will take place March 28 at 3 p.m.
