PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania men's basketball program has entered into a radio agreement with WNTP (990 AM) and WFIL (560 AM) for the 2012-13 season, and will also have as many as 12 games air on WXPN (88.5 FM) this season.

WNTP/WFIL have been the radio home of Penn football the last seven seasons, and provide full coverage of the city of Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. WNTP and WFIL are sister stations owned by Salem Communications.

WNTP will broadcast 11 games this season beginning with Penn's NIT Season Tip-Off game against Delaware that will be played in Charlottesville, Va., on Monday, Nov. 12. (Fans should note that the broadcast of Penn's NIT game the next night will be based on who the Quakers play in the second round. If it's Fairfield at 4:30, the game will only be audio-streamed on the PennAthletics.com website; if it's Virginia at 7 p.m., WXPN 88.5 FM will broadcast the game locally with PennAthletics.com also airing the audio.)

WFIL will broadcast seven games, beginning with the Quakers' neighborhood tussle against Drexel on Saturday, Nov. 17.

A member-supported radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, WXPN continues its longstanding affiliation with the Penn men's basketball program with as many as a dozen games in 2012-13, starting with the Quakers' opener on Friday, Nov. 9 against UMBC.

At this time, local radio rights have yet to be announced for Penn's game at Temple on Wednesday, Jan. 23. As always, however, an audio stream of every game on the Quakers' schedule can be heard through the Penn Athletics website, PennAthletics.com.

Again this year, Brian Seltzer will provide play-by-play with Vince Curran serving as the primary color commentator. Stan Pawlak will step in for Curran for selected games during the season.
