PHILADELPHIA –University of Pennsylvania
field head coach, Colleen Fink, has officially announced the incoming class of
2017. Three women will join the Quakers for the 2013 season, two from Maine and
one from New Jersey.
Next
year’s class will be joining a program that has grown positively during its
time under Fink. Penn finished at 9-8 overall, its first winning season since
2006, and posted its best record in the Ivy League, 3-4, since 2008. Additionally,
the Quakers tied a program-record set all the way back in 1988 by scoring 42
goals throughout the season. The Red and Blue also had four players honored by
the Ivy League, their highest total since 2005.
“The
2017 class is small in number but destined to make a big impact,” said Fink. “They
positionally reflect each area of the field and will help fulfill the needs of
the team moving into the future. We are very excited to welcome Elise Tilton, Stephanie Felt and Jasmine
Cole into the Penn field hockey family.”
