PHILADELPHIA - After a slow start had many around the country doubting the 2013 edition of the Quakers, the last ten games have revealred the tru character of the Red and Blue top the tune of a 9-1 record and a return to the IWLCA National Rankings at No. 16 this week.

Penn swept through the Ivy League this season, posting a 7-0 record against Ancient Eight teams to claim a seventh consecutive League championship -- the current longest run of consecutive conference championships in the nation.

The Quakers started the season ranked No. 11, but an 0-3 beginning to the campaign dropped Penn from the Top-20 on March 11. Since then, Penn has won nine of its last ten games, defeating a pair of Top-20 teams along the way. The only loss for Penn since March 9 came at No. 1 Maryland.

Penn made the largest jump of any team in the polls this week, going from the group "Receiving Votes" to the No. 16 slot.

The Red and Blue will travel to No. 4 Northwestern this weekend before hosting the Ivy League Tournament May 3-5.
