J.A. Craggs was hired by the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and is the athletic department’s Director of Marketing and New Media. In this position he manages all aspects of the department’s marketing efforts for football, men’s and women’s basketball, the Penn Relays, wrestling, and non-ticketed sports. He also serves as Penn Athletics’ department trademark and licensing officer, and manages the digital content studio and video streaming operation.
Prior to his arrival at Penn, Craggs spent two years at Texas A&M where he was an in-game marketing coordinator for football, women’s soccer, volleyball, women’s basketball, track & field, equestrian and softball. Before that, he spent two years at the University of Utah, one as an Assistant Director of Marketing and another as an Assistant Director of Events for football, volleyball, women’s basketball, gymnastics and baseball.
A 1998 graduate of the University of Nevada, where he also received his MBA, Craggs started his athletic management career at his alma mater as a Marketing Coordinator for the 2004-05 athletic campaign.
