PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team has already had a historic week, this weekend they will look to make it one they’ll never forget.

After beating Ivy rival Princeton for the first time in 40 years on Monday evening. The seventh-ranked Quakers (6-2, 2-1 Ivy) will welcome third-ranked Yale (10-1, 2-0 Ivy) and Brown (4-9, 0-2 Ivy) to Ringe Courts on Saturday and Sunday.

Penn is coming off of its biggest win in recent years, defeating the Tigers, 7-2. The Red and Blue did so as they have done all year, with their depth. Junior co-captain Jack Maine battled back from being down 2-0 to win in five games. Co-captain John Dudzik won 3-0, while three freshman Rahil Fazelbhoy, George Lemmon and Benton Turner added victories.

The Quakers will need the same type of intensity and execution on the court when facing Yale on Saturday at 1 p.m.  The Bulldogs come into the match on the strength of three straight victories, two over top-10 opponents, No. 4 St. Lawrence and No. 9 Western Ontario.

Penn trails the overall series with Yale 22-54, and has not beaten the Bulldogs since a 6-3 victory in 2006.

Following the match on Saturday, Penn squash will host a 125th Jubilee dinner and program. The event will have over 300 former men's and women's squash members, family and friends in attendance to celebrate the history of Penn squash.

After what will be a competitive match against Yale, and momentous evening on Saturday, Penn cannot overlook Brown on Sunday at 11 a.m.

The Bears will face Princeton on Saturday, and prior to the match, have won just four times on the year, with two wins coming in the past two weeks. Those wins came against Colby and Middlebury, with earlier wins against Tufts and Northeastern.

The Quakers lead the overall series with Brown 27-1.
