Men's Squash Falls to No. 7 Cornell, 8-1

ITHACA, N.Y. – On the road for the last time in the regular season, the eighth-ranked University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team fell to No. 7 Cornell, 8-1, late Friday evening.

Penn (7-4, 3-3 Ivy) was unable to keep pace with the Big Red winning only one match on the evening. The Quaker win came from sophomore Augie Frank, playing in the No. 3 position on the ladder. Frank was able to push his match to five games, eventually prevailing (11-8, 10-12, 11-5, 10-12, 11-8).

Cornell (7-5, 4-2 Ivy) pushed its winning streak against Penn to seven straight matches. After defeating Penn, the Big Red also won a 9-0 decision against Hobart on Friday.

Penn will round-out regular season and Ivy play at home on Sunday, taking on No. 11 Columbia at 1 p.m. in Ringe Courts.
