BEALLSVILLE, Md. - The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team is in first place after the first day of the Hoya Invitational. The tournament was originally scheduled for 36 holes on Monday, but the 16-team field played only 18 due to the inclement weather from the weekend.
Playing its first tournament of the spring, Penn shot 309 as a team on Monday which put the Quakers ahead of second-place Michigan (313) and third-place Yale (314).
The teams will conclude the Hoya Invitational by playing a final 18 holes on Tuesday.
