Max is a young man who produced arguably the best result out of any freshman in the league last season when he scored 7,040 points in the decathlon. He gave up a chance to possibly represent the USA Junior Team at the World Championships in China to be with his teammates and experience their quadrennial tour of the UK in late June. He has come back a more focused athlete who aims to become an All-America in the decathlon. A great hurdler and javelin thrower, Max has picked up the rigors of the multi-events with ease. He scored at both the indoor and outdoor conference championships and could challenge for the Heptagonal crown in his sophomore season. Along with Kyle Calvo and Mike Hall, he makes up the top returning decathlon group in the nation. Look for Max to challenge his teammates for the title of Greatest Athlete in the Ivy League. Max is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
