PHILADELPHIA - Senior captain and two-time All-Ivy recipient Chris Bush earned another honor before graduation. The University of Pennsylvania standout earned the Philadelphia Chapter's National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete award on Wednesday.
On the field, Bush was a two-time All-Ivy center for the Quakers. He played and started all but one game over his final three seasons, including all 10 games during his senior campaign where he earned first-team all-league status. As a junior, he started nine games at center, earned second-team all-league and helped lead the Quakers to an Ivy League title.
In the classroom, Bush was equally successful. In addition to Wednesday's award, the Westwood, N.J., native was twice named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area team (2012 and 2013).
Bush, who graduates from Wharton this month, leaves Penn as a two-time Ivy League champion (2010 and 2012). Bush and the Senior Class of 2014 finished with 24 career wins.
