PHILADELPHIA - Both national preseason polls placed the University of Pennsylvania football team on the cusp of the Top 25. The Quakers are among those receiving votes in the FCS Coaches Poll and The Sports Network Media Poll.

Penn was picked by the media to repeat as Ivy League champions in the Ancient Eight's preseason poll released on Aug. 6. The Quakers are the top Ivy team in The Sports Network Media Top 25 where they are 10th among those receiving votes. In the Coaches Poll, the Red and Blue are 12th among the teams receiving votes and second among Ivy teams.

The Quakers were last ranked in the 2011 preseason poll where they were slated No. 24 by the FCS coaches.
