2012 Football Schedule

PHILADELPHIA - If you haven't already, it's time to mark your calendars and reserve your Fall Saturdays. The University of Pennsylvania football team announced the remainder of its home game start times on Tuesday. The 15-time Ivy League champions will play five afternoon games at Franklin Field in 2012, starting with the home opener against cross-city rival Villanova at 3:30 p.m.

Penn football opens its 136th season on the road with its only scheduled night game of 2012 - a 6 p.m. tilt with Lafayette. Then the home slate begins with another edition of the Schuylkill Showdown. Two weeks later, the Quakers host William & Mary for the first time since 1992 with a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Family Weekend (Oct. 6).

The first of Penn's three Ivy home games is scheduled for 1 p.m. against Columbia (Oct. 13). The 2012 Homecoming game (Oct. 27) is also set for 1 p.m. with the Brown Bears serving as guests.

The home finale will be seen by a national television audience. NBC Sports Network will take over Franklin Field when defending Ivy champion Harvard visits for a noon kickoff on Nov. 10.

In 2012, anyone with a University of Pennsylvania issued ID can gain admittance to home football games free of charge, and bring up to three guests at no additional charge. Included are any faculty or staff, hospital workers, Penn Police and Allied Barton security guards with their Allied Barton ID cards. For those working outside of the Penn family, low-cost season tickets will be available in the upcoming weeks.

The remainder of the road schedule consists of noon starts at Dartmouth (Sept. 29) and Yale (Oct. 20) - both of which will also be shown nationally on the NBC Sports Network. The remaining two Ivy road games: a 1 p.m. kickoff at archrival Princeton (Nov. 3) and a 12:30 p.m. start in the 119th meeting with Cornell (Nov. 17).

A complete 2012 football schedule can be found at the link atop this release. The remainder of the team's media and promotional schedule will be announced later this summer.

All dates, times and media are subject to change.
