Spring Football will get underway at the University of Pennsylvania on
Tuesday, March 12. The defending Ivy League champions will hold 12 practices during the 24-day
spring schedule, highlighted by the annual Spring Game on April 6.
During the 24-day process, the
practice 12 times. The Quakers are scheduled to be in full pads at least
six times during the four weeks of spring ball with the first such
practice slated for March 18. The annual Red vs. Blue Spring Game is
set to begin at 4 p.m., on the final Saturday of the spring season, concluding the 2012 spring football season on April 6.
Multiple rain dates have been scheduled to ensure that Penn gets in all
12 practices. A full practice schedule is below. All dates and times are subject to change.
The Quakers won their third outright Ivy League title in four years in 2012 - a feat which had not been accomplished since 1977-80, but has now been duplicated twice in a decade under head coach Al Bagnoli. Penn finished with a 6-1 league record and 6-4 mark overall. Penn will be vying for their fourth title in the last five years in 2013 and has eight returners that were named All-Ivy last season, including two first-team honorees.
