Head Coach Al Bagnoli
On his team’s effort in its first game:
"You never play a perfect first game. It’s impossible. So you know there’s going to be some things that happen to you and you’ve got to be able to respond to them and you’ve got to be able to overcome them and I’m really proud that our kids were able to do that.”

Running Back Spencer Kulcsar
On his touchdown following an errant snap in the third quarter:
“It’s not something you plan for or hope for, but I got a nice bounce and saw three Lafayette players, and I knew I had to make one miss, but with (Ty) Taylor and (Conner) Scott to block, so I really just wanted to get a couple yards and get us in field goal range, but we ended up making something happen. It’s a real testament to how we fight and how we never give up on a play.”

Safety Evan Jackson
On his late first-half interception near the endzone:
“My job is to not let anyone behind me and to not let anyone get into the endzone so they can’t get momentum before half. On a play like that, it’s anyone’s ball and I went up and we were able to come down with it.”

On the defense’s pressure throughout the game:
“It’s a full team effort. The D-Line had a great motor on the day, and in the second and third level, we had great coverage and made the quarterback hold the ball, and that’s how we got to them.”
