PHILADELPHIA – The Final Four takes place this weekend in North Texas, and University of Pennsylvania senior forward Dau Jok will be a part of the festivities. In fact, the senior will be a busy man this weekend, as he is a guest of both the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
As one of five members of the 2014 Allstate NABC Good Works Team, Jok will attend the Allstate Welcome Dinner at the Crescent Club on Friday night. On Saturday, the Good Works Team will be recognized on court during the second semifinal at AT&T Stadium.
On Sunday morning, the Good Works Team will participate in a basketball clinic at the Valley View Sportsplex with members of the Special Olympics of Texas and special guest, Allstate NABC Good Works Team ambassador Grant Hill. That afternoon, the group will be recognized and participate in an autograph session at the Buick Arena inside the NCAA Bracket Town. On Sunday evening, the Good Works Team will attend the NABC Guardians of the Game Awards Show and will be recognized at that event.
Allstate will host a brunch on Monday morning, but Jok will not be able to attend. Instead, that morning he will be collecting his Most Courageous Award from the USBWA at their awards brunch at the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas.
Dau will be sending daily updates from North Texas, we will link them to this release throughout the Final Four.
