PHILADELPHIA - The Ivy League has announced its weekly honors in women's soccer, and University of Pennsylvania senior forward Kerry Scalora has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week.
Scalora was named to the award after scoring the only goal in Penn's 1-0 Ivy League win over Cornell on Friday night. The goal came on a penalty kick, and was her fourth this season which ties her for the team lead in that category. She also has three assists for a team-leading 11 points.
This is Scalora's first weekly honor of the 2013 season. She was a first-team All-Ivy pick a year ago, and the 2010 Ivy League and ECAC Rookie of the Year.
Penn is 6-1-3 overall heading into this weekend, when the Quakers are at Columbia (Saturday) and Navy (Monday).
