LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Penn men's lacrosse team allowed Bucknell to score the first four goals on Tuesday night and could not recover, ultimately falling 8-3 to the 18th-ranked Bison.

Penn fell to 1-8 with the loss, while Bucknell (9-4) won for the ninth time in the last 10 games.

Bucknell scored three times in the first quarter as Chase Bailey, Ryan Joseph and Billy Eisenreich all scored unassisted goals. The Bison then made it 4-0 midway through the second period when Peter Burke netted another unassisted goal.

Penn got on the board with 3:58 left in the half when Tim Schwalje scored off an Anthony Santomo feed. However, Bucknell scored with just two seconds left before the break when Eisenreich finished off the Bison's fifth unassisted goal of the night.

Drew Belinsky had the only goal of the third quarter, scoring off a Dan Savage feed to make the score 5-2.

Bucknell scored twice in the first three minutes of the fourth quarter, as Bailey tallied another unassisted goal and then Billy Mattimore scored off a David Dickson feed. John Conneely closed out Penn's scoring with 2:33 left, off a Belinsky feed, before Eisenreich netted his third of the night with 2:07 to play.

Bucknell outshot Penn, 31-24, but sophomore goalie Brian Feeney had a strong night in the cage as he tied a career high with 14 saves. Zack Losco had four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Penn will be at home Saturday afternoon, facing off with Harvard in the Quakers' final home game of the 2012 season.
