Meet Results | Individual Event Results | Overall Team Standings | All-Around Results STATE COLLEGE, PA. – The Penn gymnastics team scored its second highest score of the season on Saturday afternoon in a quad-meet at Penn State. The Quakers scored a 193.000 and placed third behind the hosting Nittany Lions (196.975) and New Hampshire (194.225) while finishing in front of Temple (189.650). The Red and Blue dominated the day on beam, scoring the third highest team score in program history with a 48.775. They were led by three seniors, Megan Milavec, Kirsten Strausbaugh and Dana Bonincontri. Milavec led all Quakers with a fourth-place 9.825 and was followed by her fellow seniors who both tied for sixth place at 9.800 – Strausbaugh’s routine was a career high and Bonincontri’s tied her personal best. Freshmen Carissa Lim, Elyse Shenberger and Emily Paterson put in career performances once again as well. Lim set two career highs, scoring a 9.750 on vault as Penn’s best finisher and posted a 9.675 on floor. Shenberger was the Red and Blue’s top finisher on floor with her career-high 9.825. Paterson tied her career high on vault with a 9.700. Strausbaugh and Bonincontri dominated on bars as well. Strausbaugh tied her season high with a 9.825 and Bonincontri tied her teammate for fifth place with the same score. Additionally, Strausbaugh was Penn’s highest finisher in the all-around, placing fourth with a 38.850. The Quakers will be competing again on March 16 in their final dual meet of the season. They will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for a 1 p.m. meet, and the matchup with the Tar Heels will be the Red and Blue’s last leading up to the ECAC Championships in Ithaca, N.Y. on March 23.
