NEW YORK - Facing its toughest competition of the young season with many key contributors sitting the meet out, the Penn women's swimming team was overwhelmed on Friday afternoon at Columbia's Uris Pool, losing 247-51 to the host Lions, and dropping a 249-49 decision to Harvard.

Laura Klick had the best individual finish of the evening for Penn, coming in fourth in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:24.90. Klick added a sixth place finish in the 100 Breast (1:06.72), as well. Melissa Parratto was likely the busiest Quaker swimmer of the night, managing top eight finishes in three races. Parratto touched the wall in fifth in the 200 Butterfly (2:04.49), and added a seventh place finish in the 200 IM (2:10.60) and 100 Butterfly (59.32).

The Quakers return to action next month in Florida, taking on Florida Atlantic and Brown in what will be their second consecutive tri-meet, scheduled for Jan. 4.
